As if having tinnitus is not enough, I have acquired the seemingly dedicated services of a small, green, noisy cricket. I know this small cricket is green because it landed on my arm and I was so shocked that I was unable to shoo it away before it hopped away on its own.

I am thinking that this small green cricket was also shocked because he did not sing for several hours. I wish I knew how this small green cricket entered my house and why he became bold enough to enter the sacred domain of my kitchen.

This is my “Thought Room” part reserved for computer work and part for my painting endeavors. Somewhere in between, I am the expert Microwave Gamer of three daily meals. My desk chair reclines enough for a nap, if need be, which should not be interrupted by a cricket’s friendly morning or afternoon song.

I have heard everything is sent into your life for a reason but I am also thinking there is no room in my life or kitchen for this singing cricket.
